A couple of tracks from a CD that the guy in the hostel had on his computer. I think he said it was called ‘Romaro Suno 2’.
The first tune has the classic balkan brass oom pa oom pa rhythm played by roma buskers and wedding chasers around town. But this recording is a whole lot slicker than anything we came across. The trumpeting is a little bit incredible.
The second track must be ‘gypsy ska’(?) The next big thing if you ask me. Remember, you heard it here first. Any ideas what he’s shouting about at the end?
