After a long night on the Orient Express (should’ve booked a couchette) we arrived in Vienna. Not quite the Orient but surprisingly far East. Heinz and Merle Opelz welcomed us with food, a list of Wien must sees and a walk to the garden accommodation they had arranged for us with friends. Thanks once again to the Opelz family - from France to Austria (and the mountains in between) they have hosted some of our most memorable trips ...And for the perfect little house in the garden/dacha/allotment in the centre of town vielen Dank Walter und Hilde!
